The Foundry BigIron series features innovative engineering and design, and was one of the first chassis to be 10-Gigabit when it was released in 1998. BirIron’s reliable IronCore ASIC architecture delivers hardware-based switching that improves network bandwidth to support next generation technology.
All Foundry BigIron systems have been built to provide flawless non-blocking wire-speed switching capacity and support an impressive set of protocols. Models like the The 15-slot BigIron 15000, allow up to 178 Million packets per second (Mpps) in a single chassis which allows nearly double the performance of the closest competitor in only half the actual size. Unlike other network hardware, The 4, 8, and 15-slot chassis offer total investment protection by making upgrading and replacing modules a snap without disruption or any downtime. Because all Bigiron modules are interchangeable, just add a new interface module into your chassis and you will be ready to roll.

As the world’s largest reseller of refurbished Brocade hardware, we offer an extended 5-Year warranty to end-users for every piece of gear we deliver. This warranty includes advance replacement, which means when you call us to report a problem, our technical team will work with you quickly to assess the problem. If we cannot overcome it, we ship a replacement unit immediately. Your sales rep will then provide an email to you with RMA instructions for returning the faulty unit.
*In the event we cannot supply a replacement unit, we will provide a refund or credit once faulty unit is returned.
Return Policy
The defective product must be received by Townsend Networks within 30 calendar days from the date the RMA is issued. A defective product received by Townsend Networks more than 30 calendar days from the date the RMA is issued will not be accepted by Townsend Networks and will not be eligible for repair, replacement or credit.
