- Is the Juniper SRX1500 end of life?
- Yes. Juniper's notice TSB101240, announced 15 October 2025, covers the SRX1500-AC, SRX1500-SYS-JB-AC and SRX1500-SYS-JE-AC. Juniper lists the last order date as 15 April 2026, end of engineering as 15 April 2029, the last software version as Junos 26.2 and end of support as 15 April 2031.
- What ports does the SRX1500 have?
- Twelve 1GbE RJ-45 ports, four 1GbE SFP ports and four 1GbE or 10GbE SFP+ ports, plus a management port and an RJ-45 console port. There are two WAN PIM slots, but Juniper notes the WAN PIMs are not available to order.
- How is the SRX1500 cooled and powered?
- A fan tray with four fans cools the chassis front to back, so keep the airflow around it clear. The chassis has two power supply slots and comes in AC and DC models.
- Do security subscriptions come with a used SRX1500?
- Security services such as intrusion prevention signatures and Juniper ATP Cloud are Juniper subscriptions, not hardware. Software licences and Juniper support contracts are not part of our warranty, so ask us what a unit carries before you order.
- What condition and warranty come with a Juniper SRX1500 firewall from Townsend?
- Each listing prints its own condition. Units sold as new, refurbished or used are bench tested before they are listed: every port and module slot is checked and the previous owner's configuration is erased. They are covered by the Townsend warranty from the date of delivery; if the hardware fails in normal use we repair it or replace it with a tested unit, and the length and terms are on our warranty page. Unused hardware can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Juniper software licences and support contracts are not part of our warranty.
