What buyers ask
- How many devices and events can the FS750-K9 manage?
- Cisco's data sheet gives the Firepower Management Center 750 a maximum of 10 sensors managed and 20 million IPS events, with 100 GB of event storage, a maximum network map of 2,000 hosts and 2,000 users, and a maximum flow rate of 2,000 flows per second. It has a 4-core Xeon CPU and 8 GB of memory as currently shipping.
- Does the FS750-K9 have redundant power supplies or RAID?
- No. Cisco's model table shows no dual power supplies, no high availability support and no RAID support for the FMC 750, and the larger FMC 1000 and above add them. The FMC 750 is a 1RU appliance drawing up to 350 W, airflow front to back, with a power supply rated 9.5 amp maximum at 110 V or 4.75 amp maximum at 220 V.
- Is the FS750-K9 still sold and supported?
- No. Cisco's end-of-sale announcement for the Firepower Management Center 750 gives an end-of-sale date of March 31, 2017 and a last date of support of March 31, 2022, after which the product is obsolete. Cisco lists the FMC1000-K9 as the replacement for the FS750-K9, and says the refurbished program may still supply units in limited numbers.
