- MX40-T-AC is the MX40 AC chassis: its license allows the front MIC slots and ports 0 and 1 of the built-in 10-Gigabit Ethernet MIC. Its sister MX80-T-AC, the MX80 AC chassis with timing support, allows all MIC slots, front and back, and all four built-in 10GbE ports. Juniper notes the MX40 is software upgradeable to MX80 capacity.
