- Yes. Buying and liquidating surplus gear is half our business. We buy Juniper, Arista, Brocade and Cisco hardware for cash, wire, or trade-in credit, arrange pickup, and process within 48 hours of receipt.
- How do quotes work for unpriced items?
- High-ticket and bulk items are quote-driven. Send the part number and quantity through the quote form, chat, or phone and a human who knows the hardware will come back with a firm price, typically the same business day.
About Brocade 6510 and 6520 SAN Switches at Townsend
Brocade 6500 Series, listed with prices and live stock at Townsend Networks: 6510-1, 6520-1, DS-6510B and DS-6520B. Every unit is tested in-house before it ships and carries a 3-year warranty.
These are Fibre Channel SAN switches in two models, the 6510 and the 6520. The DS-6520B and the 6520 have 96 ports of 2/4/8/10/16GbE SFP+ in a 2U chassis with dual redundant hot-swap power supplies. The 6520 is described as a Gen 5 Fibre Channel switch with 1536 Gbps of aggregate throughput, reversible airflow, and Ports on Demand licensed in 24-port increments. The DS-6510B has 48 ports of 16GbE SFP+.
The 6510 is a 48-port Gen 5 Fibre Channel SAN switch with 2/4/8/10/16Gb auto-sensing ports. It is listed here with 24 ports active and with all 48 ports active, and the cards print the active port count. The 6510 listings give 768 Gbps of switching capacity, front-to-back airflow and dual hot-swappable power supplies.
Brocade ended the sale of the 6510 on April 17, 2020 and ended support on June 17, 2025, and names the Brocade G620 as the replacement. For the 6520 the table above names the Brocade G730 and G630. The table links to each notice.
