Every unit is tested in-house before it ships and carries a 3-year warranty.Both parts carry 2 ports of 100GbE CFP2, and CFP2 optics are sold separately. Neither runs on its own, because each installs into a host chassis. The BR-MLX-100GX2-CFP2-M is listed as a module. Its description gives IPv4, IPv6 and MPLS support and up to 512K routes in the forwarding table, for MLXe-4, MLXe-8, MLXe-16 and MLXe-32 chassis. The BR-MLX-100GX2-CFP2-X2 is a line card in the X2 route-scale tier, with up to 2M IPv4 and 0.8M IPv6 routes in the forwarding table. It needs an MLXe chassis with high-speed switch fabric modules.Brocade's end of sale notice covers the whole MLXe family of line cards, chassis and management modules.
