Brocade Switches

Used and refurbished Brocade switches and routers, each listed with its part number, condition and price. The range runs from ICX stackable switches (the maker's documents call them RUCKUS ICX) and VDX data center switches to MLXe router chassis and modules, NetIron CES and CER, FastIron SX modules, Fibre Channel SAN switches and load balancers. Each family page opens one series with the maker's figures beside the listings. How we test used Brocade hardware Each unit is logged by serial number and inspected: chassis, ports, fans, power supplies and optics cages. It then runs under power long enough to surface early failures, with power supply output, fans and temperatures checked under sustained load. Our technicians test every port and module slot for link at rated speed, clean error counters and a reachable management interface. The previous owner's configuration is erased and the unit is returned to a clean factory state, then it is checked again before it is packed. Warranty and returns The Townsend 3-Year Warranty covers hardware failure in normal use for 3 years from the date of delivery, including ports, power supplies, fans, backplanes and module slots. If a unit fails, we repair it or replace it with an equivalent tested unit. Unused hardware in the condition it shipped can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund; contact us for an RMA number before shipping anything back. We are an independent reseller, so the warranty is our own and Brocade software licensing and support contracts are outside it. Read the 3-year warranty and RMA terms and the refund policy. For several units, a mixed list or a Brocade part number you do not see here, send part numbers and quantities through request a quote: a firm price comes back, typically the same business day. Brocade families we list ICX switches: from the ICX 7150 to the ICX 7850, each stacking up to 12 switches: the ICX 7150 and ICX 7250 with 480 Gb/s of stack bandwidth, the ICX 7450 with 960 Gb/s, the ICX 7650 with 2400 Gb/s, the ICX 7750 with 5760 Gb/s and the ICX 7850 with 9.6 Tbps. VDX switches: the 1U VDX 6740 has 48 1/10 GbE SFP+ ports and 4 40 GbE QSFP+ ports, with 1.28 Tbps and 850 ns latency; the VDX 6740T is its copper version, with 48 10GBASE-T ports and 3 microseconds of latency. The VDX 6940-36Q has 36 40 GbE QSFP+ ports in 1U, and the 2U VDX 6940-144S has 96 10 GbE SFP+ and 12 40 GbE QSFP+ ports. The MLXe-4 is 5U, the MLXe-8 7U and the MLXe-16 14U; the 4 and 8 slot chassis take four 1200 W or 1800 W AC or DC power supplies and the 16 slot chassis eight, with 1+1 redundancy. The 2024C models have 24 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports and 4 100/1000 SFP combination ports, and the NI-CER-2048CX has 48 RJ45 ports and 2 10 GbE XFP ports. Each has an internal AC or DC power supply in 1+1 redundancy and front to back airflow. Questions about used Brocade equipment What do F and R mean at the end of a Brocade VDX part number? They name the exhaust side. F models exhaust at the non-port side and R models at the port side. RUCKUS gives February 7, 2022 as the end of sale date for the ICX 7250, December 31, 2023 for the ICX 7650 and ICX 7750, and lists the ICX 7450 as discontinued on November 14, 2024.
