The Brocade ICX7250-48P-2X10G is a switch from the Brocade ICX7250 family with 48 ports of 1GbE PoE+ RJ45, 2 ports of 10GbE SFP+ and AC power. It has 56 ports in all. It runs RUCKUS FastIron. This unit is refurbished (used): inspected, powered on and functionally tested by Townsend Networks technicians before listing. HOW IT DIFFERS
ICX7250-48P-2X10G and ICX7250-48P-8X10G are both the Ruckus ICX 7250-48P (48 x 10/100/1000 RJ-45 PoE/PoE+, 8 x SFP+ 1/10 GbE uplink or stacking). The part numbers differ in the 10 Gbps licensing of the 8 SFP+ ports: Ruckus sells a 2-port PoD license, ICX7250-2X10G-LIC-POD, for the two default stacking ports, and an 8-port PoD license, ICX7250-8X10G-LIC-POD, that together with it brings all eight ports to 10 Gbps.

How many PoE devices can the ICX 7250-48P power, and can more power be added? Ruckus gives the ICX 7250-48P a maximum power draw of 942 W from the AC line, with its internal power supply supporting 48 PoE (class 3) ports or 24 PoE+ (class 4) ports. It has one connector for an EPS4000 external power supply, which can add 24 PoE ports or 12 PoE+ ports per connection or back up the system power, and the guide ties this to power budgets of 370 W or 740 W. Which ports does the ICX 7250-48P have, and does a licence unlock the 10 Gbps SFP+ ports? Ruckus lists the ICX 7250-48P as 48 fixed 10/100/1000Base-T PoE/PoE+ ports with 8 SFP+ ports that run at 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps for uplink or stacking. Its installation guide adds that you may need software licences to enable some SFP+ ports at the full 10 Gbps, and points to the FastIron licensing guide for the details.
