HOW IT DIFFERS
ASR1002-X is the 2RU Cisco ASR 1000 in this pair: the data sheet gives the ASR 1002-X two rack units against one for the ASR1001-X. Cisco's guide lists three half-height SPA slots, or one half-height and one full-height, besides the built-in 6x1GE SPA in bay 0, 1+1 redundant AC or DC supplies, and a forwarding bandwidth of 5, 10, 20 or 36 Gbps by software license. ASR1001-X, its sister, has one SPA bay and two built-in 10 GE SFP+ ports.
