HOW IT DIFFERS
WS-X6848-SFP-2T is the 6800 Series 48-port Gigabit Ethernet module for SFP optics. Cisco's data sheet pairs it with a DFC4, connects it to the switch fabric through dual full-duplex 20 Gbps channels (40 Gbps total), works it with Supervisor Engine 2T and lists its power at 334.44 W. Its sister WS-X6724-SFP is the 24-port SFP module of the earlier 6700 line, which Cisco says supports a single 20 Gbps fabric channel and sustains 26 Mpps per slot with a DFC3.
