WHAT BUYERS ASK
Does the ICX 7750-26Q come with power supplies and fans? No. Ruckus orders the ICX7750-26Q as a bare switch with 26 x 40 GbE QSFP ports and a modular interface slot, and says no power supplies or fan units are included and they must be ordered separately, and no optics. The ICX 7750 takes hot-swappable power supplies in a 1+1 arrangement and fans in a 3+1 arrangement. The supplies are the 500 W RPS9+I and RPS9+E (AC) and RPS9DC+I and RPS9DC+E (DC). Which airflow directions can the ICX 7750-26Q be built for? Ruckus lists the ICX 7750 with reversible airflow and sells matching parts for each direction. The RPS9+I and RPS9DC+I supplies take air in at the power supply side and exhaust at the port side, and the RPS9+E and RPS9DC+E take air in at the port side. The fan kits follow the same pattern, ICX7750-FAN-I with fan-side intake (port-side exhaust) and ICX7750-FAN-E with fan-side exhaust (port-side intake). Does the ICX 7750-26Q need a licence for advanced Layer 3 features? Ruckus says it needs the ICX7750-L3-COE Certificate of Entitlement to use routing and advanced functionality. Without the certificate the base Layer 3 features are VRRP, RIP and static routes, and other Layer 3 features count as advanced. What ports does the ICX 7750-26Q have, and how many can be stacked? Ruckus describes the ICX 7750-26Q as 26 x 40 GbE QSFP+ ports that can be split into as many as 96 10 GbE SFP+ ports, with split not supported with stacking, and up to 32 40 GbE ports with the optional six-port ICX7750-6Q module. Up to 12 switches can be stacked together using up to 12 full-duplex 40 Gbps QSFP+ stacking ports.
