The Cisco ASR1004 is a chassis with front-to-back airflow and AC power. Its data ports come from the cards installed in it. This unit is refurbished (used): inspected, powered on and functionally tested by Townsend Networks technicians before listing. One unit per order.

Each listing says what ships with it, so check which modules are fitted before you order, or ask us.
- Are the ASR1001-X, ASR1002-X and ASR1004 end of life?
- Yes. Cisco's notice for the ASR1001-X and ASR1002-X set the end-of-sale date at 1 August 2022 and the last date of support at 31 July 2027, names IOS XE 17.9 as the last supported release and points to the Catalyst 8500 series as the replacement. The ASR1004 reached end of sale on 29 April 2020 and its last date of support was 30 April 2025; Cisco named the ASR1002-HX and ASR1006-X as its replacements.
- What condition and warranty come with a Cisco ASR 1000 router from Townsend?
- Each listing prints its own condition. Units sold as new, refurbished or used are bench tested before they are listed: every port and module slot is checked and the previous owner's configuration is erased. They are covered by the Townsend warranty from the date of delivery; if the hardware fails in normal use we repair it or replace it with a tested unit, and the length and terms are on our warranty page. Unused hardware can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Cisco software licences and support contracts are not part of our warranty.
