The Juniper EX3400-48P is a switch from the Juniper EX3400 family with 48 ports of 1GbE PoE+ RJ45, 2 ports of 40GbE QSFP+, front-to-back airflow and AC power. It has 54 ports in all. It runs Junos OS. This unit is refurbished (used): inspected, powered on and functionally tested by Townsend Networks technicians before listing. One switch per order, with a rack-mount kit and the power cable(s) to match.

HOW IT DIFFERS
EX3400-48P is the 48-port PoE model: 48 Gigabit Ethernet access ports, all of them PoE or PoE+, on the JPSU-920-AC-AFO supply. Juniper's table gives it 1440 W of system PoE with two 920 W power supplies installed and 740 W with one. The switch ships with one supply and a second is orderable. Its sister EX3400-24P has 24 PoE ports on a 600 W supply, with 720 W of PoE from two supplies and 370 W from one.

Up to 10 in one Virtual Chassis, managed as a single device with one IP address. The rear QSFP+ ports are Virtual Chassis ports by default; the front uplink ports can also be set as Virtual Chassis ports with SFP+ transceivers, but not with 1G SFP transceivers.
Can I change the airflow on an EX3400?
The power supplies and fan modules are field replaceable and labelled for airflow out (AFO, front to back) or airflow in (AFI, back to front). The models above ship front to back; Juniper also builds an EX3400-48T-AFI for back-to-front airflow.
What condition and warranty come with a Juniper EX3400 switch from Townsend?
Each listing prints its own condition. Units sold as new, refurbished or used are bench tested before they are listed: every port and module slot is checked and the previous owner's configuration is erased. They are covered by the Townsend warranty from the date of delivery; if the hardware fails in normal use we repair it or replace it with a tested unit, and the length and terms are on our warranty page. Unused hardware can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Juniper software licences and support contracts are not part of our warranty.
