HOW IT DIFFERS: BR-VDX6740T-24-R is the rear-to-front airflow version of the copper VDX 6740T at its 24-port base tier. Its 24 Base-T ports run at 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps, or auto-sensing, and Extreme's guide says 40 GbE ports need a 40G Port Upgrade license, which adds two or four. Fans are five separate hot-swappable units next to two 500 W supplies, and any replacement has to end in -R. Its sister BR-VDX6740T-24-F moves air front-to-rear.
