Compatible with: Rear-to-front (-R, orange I) power supplies and fan assemblies only. The guide says every FRU in a chassis must carry the same airflow label so the direction is consistent, and a replacement must match the part number it replaces.
HOW IT DIFFERS: BR-VDX6740T-48-R is the rear-to-front VDX 6740T. Extreme's installation guide gives its parts the orange I symbol and a part number ending in -R: they take air in from the non-port side and push it out through the port side, the opposite of the green E exhaust parts on its sister BR-VDX6740T-48-F. Everything else the guide describes for the 6740T, 48 ports of 10G Base-T copper plus four 40 GbE QSFP ports, is common to both versions. Choose it when the cold aisle faces the power supplies.
