The Juniper EX2300-C-12P is a switch from the Juniper EX2300 family with 12 ports of 1GbE PoE RJ45 and 2 ports of 1/10GbE SFP+. It runs Junos OS. This unit is refurbished (used): inspected, powered on and functionally tested by Townsend Networks technicians before listing. One switch per order, with a rack-mount kit and the power cable(s) to match.

Compatible with
PoE and PoE+ powered devices on any of the 12 access ports, up to the switch's 124 W total. The two uplink ports do not supply PoE.
HOW IT DIFFERS
EX2300-C-12P is the PoE version of the compact fanless EX2300-C. Juniper's hardware guide gives all 12 of its 10/100/1000 BASE-T ports PoE and PoE+ capability from 124 W of PoE power, with a draw of 24 W when no PoE is used, a weight of 6.99 lb (3.17 kg) and 2.5 A at 100 VAC. Its sister EX2300-C-12T has the same 12 ports without PoE, a 20 W maximum draw, 5.45 lb (2.48 kg) and 1 A at 100 VAC.

What does -VC mean on an EX2300?
Juniper's EX2300 model table lists the Virtual Chassis licence as included on the -VC models and not included on the others. Up to four EX2300 switches, EX2300-C models included, can be joined into one Virtual Chassis and managed as a single switch, using the 10GbE uplink ports with SFP+ transceivers; Juniper notes that a Virtual Chassis cannot be formed over 1G SFP transceivers.
How much PoE do the EX2300 models deliver?
Juniper's model table gives the EX2300-C-12P 124 W across its 12 ports and the EX2300-48P and EX2300-48MP 740 W across all 48 ports. The T models have no PoE, and the uplink ports never carry PoE on any model.
Which EX2300 models are fanless?
The EX2300-C models, the EX2300-C-12T and EX2300-C-12P. They cool through vents and heatsinks instead of fans, and Juniper documents desk and under-desk mounting for them. The 24- and 48-port models have built-in fans.
What condition and warranty come with a Juniper EX2300 switch from Townsend?
Each listing prints its own condition. Units sold as new, refurbished or used are bench tested before they are listed: every port and module slot is checked and the previous owner's configuration is erased. They are covered by the Townsend warranty from the date of delivery; if the hardware fails in normal use we repair it or replace it with a tested unit, and the length and terms are on our warranty page. Unused hardware can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Juniper software licences and support contracts are not part of our warranty.
