Cisco ended the sale of the Catalyst 2960-X on October 31, 2022. The last date of support is October 31, 2027. The 2960-X is one of the most widely deployed access switches Cisco has shipped, and it is still the switch behind the wall plate in a great many offices.
Its relatives sit on different clocks. The fanless Catalyst 2960-L reached end of sale on October 31, 2021 and its support ends on October 31, 2026. The original WS-C2960-48PST-L is long past both: end of sale October 31, 2014, end of support October 31, 2019.

What the dates mean
Cisco runs two clocks on every product. End of sale is the last day Cisco takes an order for it. The last date of support is the last day Cisco's support center takes a case and the last day a Cisco service contract covers the hardware. After that date the hardware keeps forwarding packets and the owner carries the risk: no new software fixes and no replacement from the maker.
The replacement the maker names
Cisco's notice names the Catalyst 9200L as the replacement for the 2960-X: C9200L-24P-4G, C9200L-24T-4X, C9200L-48P-4X, C9200L-48P-4G (Catalyst 9200L). For the 2960-L it names the Catalyst 1000: C1000-24P-4G-L, C1000-8T-2G-L (Catalyst 1000).
